”Running is meditation. As a member of Tokyo’s GIRA Running club, Undercover’s Jun Takahashi designs from that personal practice. Built on the principle of distraction freerunning, Takahashi’s latest NikeLab Gyakusou collection assists runners in achieving and maintaining an uninhibited state of flow for longer periods of time. Based on rain mapping data of the body and employing such techniques as laser perforation, strategically additive and subtractive design details bring to life this season’s aesthetics, formsand functions, reflecting athlete informed computational design.
